instrument cluster questions

ok i to am one of the few taht are wanting to chang ethe color of my instrument lights! they are green. like all fords,but i want differant, now be fore u go posting anyhting, i know taht on the 2nd gens there is a film over the cluster its selff. is this the same as for the 1st gens? i removed the green from the turn signal lights and the look all scratched, i used a rasor blade and it scratched the crap outa it! is there a better way to do this????
maybe some paint thinner on a q-tip????? thanks alot!

This is not a personal attack, but if you want someone to answer your questions it would be a lot easier to do so if you would use standard english and not the text message short hand crap you are using.

Ford has used the same film to color the dash lights since the early 80's, so yes the 1st gen has the film. The only way to change the color is to get an aftermarket guage face or make your own.
