I think this tube is supposed to be for a 1st gen but the left side of it doesnt appear to have enough bend. I cannot in anyway make this fit. Is there a part missing or any ideas on this? ( sorry about the big pic, I forget to make it smaller)

Flip it over? Have you tried it both ways? That's my only guess.

the way he has it laying is the way it would connect, the left to the intake, and the right to the MAS, i dont know, have you tryed yet? or have you not bought it?

PEACE

Cut it to make it fit. I did that with mine and was able to actually turn it towards the washer fluid tank. I also assume being shorter gets the air there quicker.

I tryed to find my answer without posting and all i came up with was a pic and it looked like the throttle bottle end had a 90 degree bend. Mine doesnt and it puts the MAF end right where the battery sits.

What you need it to look like..

is the tube 2 separate pecies?

try putting the rubber conectors on just a lil bit sideways to fix the angle and see if that works.

Where did you pic the intake up from?

I bought it from someone on here. I think I just won the biggest idiot award. If i turn the right side around like in the pic below as to the way i had it in the first pic, I think it may work. But if it wasnt for this thread I probably would have never tried to fit it again.

hahaha, yeah that looks like it should work. If it works, tell us if you feel a difference! B/c KKM claims that the stock intake tube doesnt need replacing.

Ah, my old intake RedRig. I was going to post a pic but it looks like you got it figured out. It might help if you didn't have the 90 degree bend right flush against the TB....use the fitting to give you a bit of flexibility. You might also have to loosen the nuts at the top of your fan shroud and push it down a little lower for hood clearance....I had to do that too. Nice red fittings, by the way!

Thanks for the input it will help alot, the shroud was a concern to. I guess i should of just gave you a pm.

hey what is the tube for that connects to the air tube. Ive taken it off once or twice but i dont know what it is for. It is the tube that connects right beside the alternator.

also, what company makes that tube?

www.ifab.net is where I got the tube before I sold it to RedRig. Also, that hose you're talking about (the one the goes from the intake to the oil filler pipe) is used to ventilate blow by gases from the crankcase back into the intake so they can be burned. If you take it off it will let unmetered, unfiltered air into your intake...not a good thing. Also oil vapor may get all over your engine compartment....so it would be a good idea to leave it on unless you plug the intake tube hole and then put a filter on the oil filler pipe end. If you do this also remember you have to remove your PCV valve from the drivers side valve cover and put a breather filter on that too, and then plug the vacuum line coming from the vacuum tree that goes to the PCV valve.
