interchangable multi function switch?

the multi function switch on my fathers 95 xlt went bad, we figured it out using the forum.thanks what i wanted to know is if the multi function switch from a 99-03 e 250 cargo van would work? we have a van that is being picked apart at work figured that i may get lucky. im gonna pull it out and try anyone know off hand if it will work? thanks in advance brian

Welcome to this forum! I see that you are also from Brooklyn. Compare the part numbers of both switches, and the part where the harness connects into. You could do a search on WWW.PartsVoice.Com, or http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213787&catalogid=0 for the part numbers on both switches.

yes i am from brooklyn i took the switch out of the van and it had too many pins. after breaking the unneeded pins it pluged right in , headlights worked but no turn signals or hazard lights. at least with head lights he could get the truck home where he can get the right parts thanks
