interior dome/door lights wont work at all

hello guys my name is bruce i just bought a 97 explorer and wanted to change the overhead concel and middle dome lights because they werent working (the door lights and rear used to work fine) when i took out the overhead concel bulbs out they looked brand new so i put them back in and went to the middle one and as i oppened the rear passanger door the door light and rear lights did not work any more not even the switch lights in the middle witch also used to work. they wont even turn on when i manualy switch it. the only thing i can think of would be a relay or the copper wire in the overhead concel witch was all messed up. please help guys thanks

also the cluster,window switch,and the ac lights come on when i turn on the car and turn on headlights. the windows still roll up and down and the auto door locks still work correctly. i just dont get it?
