interior heat problem?

interior heat problem?- i have a 2000 eddie with a **** ton of miles. sometimes when i drive around town i notice that my car is putting out heat at the base of the windsheild only. i belive thats thats the defrost option. i have the climate control heat/ac. even if its off it may pour out heat. i havent noticed any consistancy wuth this problem. i only drive about 7 - 25 miles at a time. also i feel a 10% power loss (est.) when this is happening. any thoughts?

you have a vacuum leak. when you don't have enough vacuum to work the heater controls the default is to only blow air out the defrost vents.
