Interior idea??

I have an Idea *everyone hide*
let me know what you think... this wont happen for a while prolly a year or two but want to ask b4 i forget. I was think of taking out my carpet my stock seat all four the two front and the back seat for the front i would get some racing style and the back i would get like a rail buggybench seat and put back there. I want to put 5 point harness's prolly all around and i was thinging prolly herc for my carpet. also MAYBE a rool cage setup.

im not worried bout depreciating the value of my truck as my truck prolly aint worth very much as it is right now. i just want to see if yall see anyproblems i might encounter..

welcome to any tips or tricks or ideas of anything else i can add

Sounds like a cool idea. You should definitely go for it. I was thinking of doing the same thing with mine. Only less "dramatic" (sorry can't think of a word). I was thinking of putting 2 bucket seats in the back since I only have 2 kids.

Since nothing is electrical or mechanical about it and you have access to a welding machine then you shouldn't have any problem.

well i thought it would be kinda kool to have the Rail buggy bench seat... but i could put buckets in the Back to and mount my sub in between the two seats HEH

and JTX it was kinda late so it might not be quite clear srry.. wut i wanna do is take the stock carpet and seats out. Herc the floor and make that be my carpet. Put Racing Bucket seats up Front. Prolly with 5 point harness's and a rear bench seat from a rail buggy or maybe 2 buckets in the back instead.. and POSSIBLY a roll cage setup.....

does that explain it better??

I like it, well all but the Herc floor. I have been wondering what is done with the wiring running under the carpet. I think it would look strange having exposed wiring.

Theres not a whole lot of wire ... atleast i didnt see any when i had my carpet out .... and i would end up re runiing the wires.... i wouldnjt jsut let them lay there im not completely ghetto =)

im hoping no more than bout 800$ but im not sure id have to research a lil...... but i think im gunna do it.... most expensive thing will be the seats and 5 point harness's prolly.

Yeah thats what i was thinkin. If you herc the floor isnt it gonna make a ton of noise?

Just curious, why do you need a cage and 5 point harnesses? Seems like a waste to me.

I say put buckets in the back seat. I did that with mine and added a center console in between them. took me a whole weekend to get it done. and it's not a direct fit. some drilling had to be done, and brackets had to be made. I went with buckets in the back so i could finally see behind me. if i had a person in the middle seat i couldn't see out the back.
