thanks for the props Blee.
I would like to see a side view of the truck.
Probabally NOT a total loss.
Explorers, well trucks in general do a very good job of " hiding " damage.

Oh, and some one said something about buying back total loss vehicles, rarely does that end up advantagous to the owner.

Best of luck on the process and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
I have been in collision repair for 12 some years now, and I would be glad to help you out.

If anyone looked at the photo link--I advise downloading and running Adaware SE. The site tries to install a lot of spyware---such as GATOR. If you don't run a spyware scanner---you'll be amazed at what's on your machine. It will run faster and online speeds will improve.

It threw Gator and a few other on mine, Spybot S&D and Adaware cleaned it all up!
thanks for the heads up!

also check for CW Shredder (Cool Web Shredder) excellent program!

Well, the apprasier from my insurance company went out to look at it today. He said it's about $100 off from being totaled, and it's easy for $100 worth of additional damage to be found somewhere once they take it apart.

Aside from the obvious damage to the bumper, hood, grille, windshield, fenders, and airbags, there was also some damage to the frame and the suspension that when added together resulted in it being totaled.

Too bad! I liked my truck....but now I get to buy a newer one! What do you think of the Gen 3's? They are 2001+, right?
