Is this stock or mod?

(If you can see the pic located at the address below) Can you tell me if this is somebody's idea of a 1" lift kit? The red arrow is pointing to a stack of washers that are tacked together and placed under the coil springs. I just bought this Explorer a couple of weeks ago and noticed the stack while I was installing new shocks. This is my first Explorer and the photos in my Chilton manual doesn't show anything like this. Thanks!

yup thats a 1" spacer lift (booty fab)

You can install F-150 spring seats in their place and get a better approach at a spacer lift (sleep at night)

Yeah, I figured they weren't going to wear out or break, but since they're out it drives better and looks better, IMO. Apparently it had never had an alignment with those in.

^^ A link to the cheapest lift kit I've ever seen. Notice the beads on the sides. One of them isn't even stacked straight.
