I have one of those, Its the "passenger ejection" seat button......just make sure your sun roof is open!!

That was only on the JDM models. On the USDM is for the flux capacitor. you can tell b/c it's not lined up straight.

Why don't you try asking the person you bought it from? If you bought it from a dealer and have a specific question they can usually ask the person they bought it from.

Honestly, I'm pretty fed up with the dealership. I truly doubt that they'd bother to call the previous owner.

They refuse to give me a 2nd key (despite the fact that I gave them a car with 2 keys), so I had to buy my own. They refused to even find the 5-digit entry code, so I had to spend an afternoon pulling apart the interior to find it myself...

In my current opinion, Mullinax Ford East can go f*** off. :thumbdwn:

I'll spend some time this weekend checking the battery and pulling off the bezel to see if I can DIY the "WTF is this" job. If I have to take it beyond that, we shall see.

Agreed, there can't be too many things that thing is for. Seats, doubtful. Fogs, ruled out I think. BWM???? You'd think if it was that the former owner would have replied but I think that's less likely with the blind monkey comments.

The "Easy Button" is red and this is more of a switch, I'm thinking it might be for a transformers type thing!

Confirmed nope. Battery terminals look to be all stock, nothing added.

OK, we're done here.

Switch is wired to a small box, a Directed Video unit. It goes back to the DVD player. When a DVD is playing and the "mystery switch" is turned on, the radio can be tuned to FM 88.7 for the DVD audio. So that's what it does.

For anyone with the factory DVD player - is there another audio option like headphones or something? Or do I have to listen the movie when passengers are watching it?
