I notice that Zaino products get a good review by people here. I checked out their webpage and to buy all the goodies needed it runs about $90 if I remember correctly. Do the products last or will they all be gone after 1 or 2 uses? And it seems like a lot of work putting on so many things like the polish lok, the polish, then polish spray stuff..then over and over again. I was thinking about getting some, but didn't want to drop $90 to turn my arms into jello from waxing so many times. Is it really worth all that trouble, or is it not really any trouble at all? Thanks guys...

Its trouble for sure, but WELL worth it in my opinion. The worse part is the freaking claybar!

The products that you definitely need are Z! ( $8.95), Z2 ( $12.95 ), Z6 ( $9.95 ) and if you want to do tires, Z16 ( $12.95 ). That’s only $31.95 plus the tire stuff if you want it ( I like it a lot ).

Work? These goodies go on so easy that one wonders if they are magic. Just wait till you rub off the Z2 and see the first coat shine and it gets better after spraying on some Z6.

I have 5 coats on my Explorer now and used only 1/2 the bottle of Z2 ( the one you use the most ).

The results are far better than I ever expected. Is it worth the trouble? What trouble.

I am a believer….

aldive-

you didnt think the claybar was tough?

Can't comment since I( didn't feel that I needed it, therefore, I didn't use it.

Thanks guys.. I guess I will try those 3 products only. I'm not into the tire shine really. I like the tires to look rubber, not plastic. Plus...they always have a brown band on about the outer 2 inches because one of my friends has a dirt driveway that is ALWAYS wet and nasty!

Two more questions... whats a good way to get ALL the bug residue off the front end? Do those bug shield things really do anything? Thanks...

Getting bugs off the front is a tough one. Certain bugs have an acidic residue when they get splattered on your truck. This can truly damage paint if left there.

The bug shield I have seems to work very well. Here in Florida, we have an insidious pest known as the love bug that literly coats vehicles during Interstate drives. I notice very few on my truck with the shield.

Hope this helps....

Yeah... Im not too far from you.. we have the love bugs up here too, but not quite as bad. My hometown in south georgia had them really bad. thanks for all the input

The Zaino is simply fantastic. Its a little trouble at first yeah, but its very easy to maintain, far easier than more common waxes and polishes.

I know I'll never go back.

Jason, I have to agree with Stephen. Most of the work comes from prepping the surface (washing with Dawn to strip old wax, clay barring). After that, its a piece of cake. The products really go a long way, it applies easy and only needs a thin coat. It doesn't take a lot of work to get off either.

Zaino fixes that also. Once you apply the Z6 the surface becomes a sort of antistatic repellant to most anything; almost like trying to mate same-polarity magnets. After the Z6, the finish is slick and almost nothing sticks to it.

Bugs will wipe right off of your front and hood.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I just printed out the Zaino order form so I should have my goodies soon.

Just thought someone might like to see this. I asked the guys at Zaino what to use to get the bug goop off the front of my truck. Here is part of Sal Zaino's reply:

"Try Wd-40. Spray a little on the bug guts. Let soak for about 40 seconds
and remove with a clean dry 100% cotton towel. Repeat if necessary. Then
rinse with water to remove any oil residue from the Wd-40. Do not do
this procedure in direct sunlight!"

Hope that helps anyone. I ordered my own Zaino stuff right after.
