When I took my Explorer to get checked out I finally got somewhere with it; an EDIS. Two days later, it had rained, and for those of you who don't live near Houston, Texas, it's humid almost all the time. My Explorer started to miss, pull and shut off when excellerating to over 35 MPH. Some history, just before taking it in to get checked and a full diagnostic, I had changed the coil pack. I had not looked closely and a grommet had been shipped with the coilpack inserted. No need for the old one. I applied silicone and the old grommet and then inserted the plug. After a free tow and a good laugh, the mechanic handed me my keys and sent me one my way. He simply pulled the plug on the coilpack, pulled the old grommet off and the code cleared. It has been running fine since. They had figured between the humidity, creating slow starts and rough running was due to the space created by the grommet. I'm looking into Lasik Surgery.
