So am I the only person here who never liked any Pontiacs? The old trans am was alright, but any of the newer stuff I didn't like the looks of. And everybody I have known with a Grand Am hates them.

The solstice was pretty cool looking, and I liked the looks of the early 2000's grand prix gtp's. They had a few nice looking cars, but the aztec cancels any cool factor they could ever have.

The system is screwed lol. Cant wait to see how many EU countries run to Russia and China when they introduce their new global currency.

The G8(pontiac) was the N. American automotive fireworks finale. Seeexy car

My earliest memories of our family cars were both Pontiac. Dad had a bigass Parisienne convertible (late 60's) and we traded it on a piece of crap red Catalina wagon, complete with the woodgrain exterior. It was always breaking down and rusted like crazy. Nonetheless, it was a cool car for a 8 year old (I think that's how old I was when we scored it).

I liked 60s and 70s Trans Ams when I was younger, but then they just looked silly after a while. Killing the T/A was a smart move, IMHO, but those newer designs that look similar to the newer Camaros weren't bad.

Pontiac did the Aztek. Enough said. It's been a dying breed for a long time. No surprise it's dead. Those Aussie Pontiacs (Holden) were cool, but even they looked like a Grand Prix to me. I looked at a Grand Am several years ago and couldn't stand the body cladding on it. One fugly car and didn't really inspire much on the perfomance front. I ended up with a Ford Contour SVT instead. :D

It will be interesting to see if GM can survive with this major surgery. I'm not so sure it's enough.

I would have thought Buick would have been the first to go. Buick's sales are much less than Pontiacs.

Second that. IMO, Buick is the poor man's Cadillac. Why keep 2 luxury brands? Even the more expensive Cadillac's out sold the Buick's, so should this have been a no-brainer or what?

You can still hit up Year One for a TA for only about 130k.

I think they should have killed off Buick. Keep them old farts at home where they bekong and off the streets:D

Maybe had GM not killed the Camaro & Firebird and had a more stylish new GTO it would have helped. I like Mustangs but there needs to be more of these kind of cars.

I saw yesterday where Porsche is coming out with a 4 door:fart:
The Cayene was a mistake IMO. If you're going to buy a Porsche buy a Porsche. (Car that is)

Not the worst looking car, but weird nonetheless. Whatever happened to all that talk of 4 door Mustangs? (ick).

lol, wow I can't believe how much people hate the aztek's. I actually thought they were pretty neat but I must admit I never actually drove one so I'd never be able to say so myself.

I am personally sad that pontiac is gone. Pontiac was one of my favorite american brands.

they had some cool features, but were the ugliest cars ever made.

^ Wow...history repeats it self! I always thought when I was a kid in the 80's I missed the best era of cars, and from then on, all the cars would suck. Yet we saw the return of the Muscle car era in a way, now it's 1974 all over again, and all the cars are going to start sucking:(
