Its that time. Im getting some paint.

man, that is awesome! what kind of paint did you use, and what did it cost? i'm thinking really hard about the tremclad......

All being said i spend about 220. The name of the paint is crossfire. A lower quality paint. It dried ultra fast today tho. You can pick it up at napa.

Also this is a one stage paint. No clear coat needed. Its more of a flat than a gloss anyways.

Im not sure what kinda gun it was but it was new and we want to take it back. It plum sucked all day.

As for air we have a air tank that is about eight to nine feet tall and two feet around. We hooded a mack truck to it to keep air. Our regular compressor is down so the mack worked.

That is the second coat. Its stopping there.

Well i may have a prob. The paint has been looking dull. I think that they gave me a base paint the requires a clear coat instead of a one pass paint that does not. Im gonna have to check into it but we may be doing more work.

I do however have one more prob with the paint. Im gonna have to wet sand it with a 1000 to 1200 grit paper to get some dry spray off that is making it look like it has light and dark spots.

Im still going to put two black stripes up the middle and paint the gas cap black to break up some of the green.

However here is how it looks today.

Just one more suggestion from me...instead of racing stripes....

And i think you should leave the gas cap green.

Oh now look at what you guys did. Now im thinking of doing side stripes instead of the middle stripes.

Well stay tuned becasue it has just started. It is now going to need a clear coat and some black accents of some kind.

I need some more options. I like the side strips but i love the center stripes.

Here's an idea, I aint real great with the whole photoshop yet so I'll explain it briefly but what about running two strips up the center and then at the back of the hood start running them down and out the side of the truck but thin them out as you start from the front to the back. It would be something different.
