i've a new heater core, and diverter valve, where do the hoses come from

Hello all.
I've installed a new heater core, and i've a new diverter valve, point is that i don't know what hose ( coming from were) connect in what "tube" of the diverter
The two hoses that went to the broken diverter valve are connected one with eack other.
Here a picture with inputs numbers
5 is vacuum, 1 and 2 goes to heater core, right?
3 and 4, where where do the hoses come from?

Thanks, I’ve seen an arrow like “direction of water”in the 4.
Is working perfect now. Thanks!
