you home about to come by for a bit and look over everything

that pack is empty!!ill text him,he might not be home.give me a bit sitting down for a bit after working 16 hours yesterday and 8 today all on 3 hours of sleep!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

yea i noticed after i said that lol

well i tried to do the final break in idle until at temp. problem is i dont remember where the guage should be lol i got it up to at the N on normal, then shut it off due to the smoke.

i think i know what it is. i think its the rtv i put on the headers burning off.
and i have an exhaust leak! the y-pipe is 2 pieces, the drivers side connectes to the passenger side under the oil pan with a clamp. it must not be tight enough cause theres white smoke coming out

interesting day. broke it in, cleared the codes. then the TPS came back. i went and got a new tps, refilled coolant. and the engine wouldnt crank! belt spun and just dead stopped with a nasty clunk. over and over and nothing. took out drivers side spark plugs and it cranked right over. i think it started actually, cant remember. put everything back and then it started right up.
had to play with the idle screw a little bit. then i got a CEL 41, heated o2 sensor not detected or something like that. once it warmed up the cel was gone. i think the o2 sensors are wrong so if the engines cold ill get that cel for it.

jds got a video of me driving off for the first time! send it so i can upload to my account!
after you left i did drive to my grandmas :) i wish it wasnt dark so i couldve seen the people staring at me lol
maybe ill take a 'quick drive' tomorrow in daylight :) (and recorded)

I sent it to you but cant see anything!! I wouldnt drive it to much till you get that ypipe and O2 fixed.i would also drain a LITTLE oil out if it still looks that high after a start tomorrow. Yea i dont know wtf it didnt start, took the plugs and and turned it by hand easily then it just turn right over.when i turned it by hand it sounded like the starter was binding it up then sounded like the starter popped back in!!idk

nah, these bulbs are much better from the old ones. im not gonna do anything else to them unless it involves HIDs and projectors

i wish youd have reminded me to attach the tranny dipstick when i said i was putting the bolts in! :/ i never realized it used one of those bolts.
ill deff be checking the fuilds tomorrow. im gonna go down the road a little tomorrow with the camera ziptied up front somewhere

i need to put gas in this beast. theres only around 3gallons in it. depending on the mileage i got on the last tank tho. then all the idling and test driving today...
risk a trip to gas station? :D 7-11 is closer but i dont like the gas. i can take backroads to the gas station i like and be fine. maybe ill do that tomorrow

Good luck!!i got a good bondsmen!!hahahi would get the o2 and cat on there and stop driving it around before you buck up something! ! You dont wanna be putting all that stress on a new motor!!no matter how much you like the way it sounds!!

yea im not gonna risk it. ill just do a quick video. like i did last night but in daylight this time lol

now i gotta start putting the rest together too.
anyone know of an ignition wire in the engine bay off the top their head? i may just put the fan on a switch, flip it when i get in/out

Run a wire from the inside dash that is an ignition wire to a switch then to the controller.so you can leave the switch on and the fan only run when the key is on but you can switch it off if you have too, deep water workn on truck whatev.

As your looking for a hot wire.. Look for one that is HOT when Running, but OFF when Cranking. That will help cut down the load when starting when its warm.

off while cranking, meaning just off when key is ON or literaly off when cranking?

i think im jsut gonna throw it on a switch for now, until i do all my wireing how i want it. itll save me 4hrs of searching that i can use to do other stuff to drive again.

ill prob take it out for gas tomorrow if i get the cat and fan on today atleast. maybe drive it to work thursday? 7ish miles, half hour, 25mph on backroads? (again, as long as the cats on and fan works)

I mean as you turn the key to the on position (where it is when the truck is running) there is power, but if you keep turning the key to the start position the power goes away as you are cranking the engine. This way the Fan and the Starter aren't running at the same time.

so the ON postion where windows, radio, etc all work? but turns off when going past that to crank? i get it now. but how the hell do i test that? lol that seems hard for one person to crank and probe at the same time lol
my truck starts quick to, so i wouldnt be able to crank long to look at the meter. im sure the people nearby would really love to hear my truck start/stop over and over lolol :D

i should just shut up with it for now anyway, since im just gonna put a switch on it for now lol

I pull the wire off the coil pack and smack the inertia switch. That way there is no fuel or spark while I'm testing it.

But with the switch method you don't need to worry about that, BUT you do need to worry about getting excited about something else and forgetting to hit the switch and then overheating things. Technical Term for that is BAD..
