JP Mobile get's a new ride! AKA Trailer

Nice gift Steve, now get rid of those lame ramps!! :p:

Jeff - :navajo:

I probally could;) But I'd be screwed from moving anything else with it.:(

On another note...not using the ramps is how I bent my dad 3500lbs axles on his trailer:rolleyes:

So I odered some things for the trailer today, things I needed like more lights and a 7 pin wiring loom to switch it over.

But I ordered some "Bling" lights:cool:

Clear LED marker lights

and a clear rear center marker light that lights up red.

I also ordered two clear red marker lights to maybe use on the bottom of the ramps for highmount brake lights

Bling on the trailer? Come on Steve, people aren't going to take their eyes off your explorer long enough to even notice it's on a trailer.

But that is sweet, I like LEDs, and I've done some makeovers to my trailer as well moving the tail lamps around and relocating the license plate to a position that they will not get violated when I'm driving faster than I should in a wash with my trailer.

Probally going to move my plate to under the ramp too;) or up on the fender. I have already noticed that this trailer does sit up higher then most:thumbsup:

Guess that house you are planning on buying just got a bit bigger. Nice trailer. Loose the ramps though. Mine mount under the rear. This way I can hang stuff off the back of the trailer.

So Etrailer.com, still hasn't shipped out my order:mad: I called and they said the light were all out of stock and would not ship till 7-10 days:thumbdwn: So I cancelled my order. Why people have things are there web site, that they don't don't have is beyond me:confused: Even though my work has the same issue:banghead:

So everything got moved around to make room for Stic-o's new hauler. The new configuration gives us enough room for 2 more vehicles! God help me!!!! roflmbo:D:confused::eek:

hmmmmm:p:

So I ditched the clear bling lights, they were on back order and were going to take to long:rolleyes: So I picked up the same lights with Yellow/Red lenses locally and saved some money. I also fond the same rear marker bar in red.

Now for paint color... I got it down to two different colors, need some help here. Both are Rustolum Pro.

1. Aluminum - This is a metalic paint, and I can get in 1 gal, and spray for easy touch up;)

2. Smoke Grey - This is a gloss, and only available in 1 gal form, no spray:(

What do you guys think?:dunno:

So she's all painted and wired to go:thumbsup: Just need to paint the wheels, Aluminum, Dk Grey or Black:scratch: That's for another day though;)

This trailer has a very light tounge weight. So much so that when it is empty you can lift the nose off the ground, or just put a little weight (say moving up and down not jumping) on the back. You have to be hooked up to load, or the hole nose would jump 10ft off the ground.

New brake controller work awesome:thumbsup:

Looks good!!

Match the future wheels of the truck.

looks good

So I'm going to put the trailer up for sale. I figure I'm not going to use it for another 6 months of so, and this trailer is just wayyyy to heavy for my F-150. The U-haul I rented last out was fine, but this trailer was like a boat anchor:thumbdwn: Towed great to t-haven, but back was a bear!!!

Plan is to buy another (lighter) trailer in the fall, and add some power mods to the F-150. My other option would be to just trade the 150 in for a SD, but that kills my whole MPG idea, and my wife probally would not drive a SD, just to big

If any one is interested in it I will sell it for what I paid for it. $2000
