I,m originally from Battle Mtn. Nevada, and I have not seen a real mountain or even a good hill in years. The pictures lifted my spirits. Not to be all mushy or anything. All is see down here in Alabama is mud and trees. I like the southern living and economy, But I sure miss my mountains. I learned to drive in the Rubies.
Arizona is an awesome place to live. Before i joined the service i used to live up in Prescott Valley. Beautiful mountains up there. Great hiking too. HEHE. Hiking is free and i didnt even have to buy a truck to do it. Much more economical. j/k. Hey Rick ever do any hunting up in the Frog Pools / Ash Fork area? Some killer elk up there. Seen a coupla good sized mulies up there too. Of course this was 5 years ago.
that pic (toward the end) with toms front tire stuffed and rear drooping... i think to someone that didn't know about wheeling, it would look like the truck is falling apart. great pics! and i thought i carried a lot of stuff with me on trips.. jeez!
Believe it or not, I think I actually have one of those back windows left over from tdavis's old Mazda back home in Washington. I am in Virginia until the middle of August but can probably get my hands on it still if you really want it. Let me know.
Looks like a fun time! Good to see the Explorer's out wheelin'
The front windshields are around $150-175 in San Diego, since its the same as the Ranger windshield. A few years ago, my wife left the rear window up in the garage and then opened the garage door. BOOM!! That cost her $285.
Just ordered new gears, tires, lots of bushings, some weld on shock mounts and a rebuild kit for Paul B's old ARB. It should all be installed by the end of next month. Gonna figure out what shocks when the lift and stuff is installed. I have been looking at those new Pro-Comp adjustable shocks cause they come in all different travel lengths. Should be pretty cool when it's finished.
