Just charged battery; now won't go into gear?

I've recently finished installing the servo bore repair kit in our '03 2wd 4.0. Yesterday I readjusted the bands and it seems to be shifting very well.

So I pulled it into the garage and spent 3 hours cleaning and detailing it. Of course, this killed the battery (doors open, etc.) so I charged it overnight.

I started it, shifted into reverse and......nothing. Nothing in any gears. Checked all fuses and had my shift through range while I noted movement at trans (ok).

Any ideas?

If you had the pan off and put back in the amount of fluid that you think you drained out, that rarely works if ever. Check the fluid level the way it is to be done.

I've had it out on the road 4 times before. Checked the fluid level the way it's supposed to be done. Moved it three times yesterday before the battery issue.

Disconnect the battery for about an hour to reset the computer and see if that helps.
Check the electrical plug on the side of the trans make sure it is fully seated.
