Picked up my PIAA Wiper Blades at the SEMA show and just got them installed today. These have silicone impregnated into it so as you use it it leaves a slight silicone layer on the windshield, similar to rain-x. I haven't had a chance to use them yet (the one time I'm wishing for it to rain! LOL) but they look very impressive. They come in carbon fiber and black and I of course got black.
These seem much better then the Bosch micro-edge I had on there before these. To install them is more then just slapping them on there after taking off the old ones, there is actually a window coating you use prior to using them, then you run them dry for about 5 minutes so it leaves an initial layer of silicone down. I'm told they recommend changing them once a year but I was told that they expected themt o work much lunger, they would just stop leaving the silicone layer ont he windshield after a year or so.
And don't worry I'm still in the process of trying to find a vendor for a group purchase for us.
