keyless entry

I have a 01 Explorer sport. The remote keyless entry will lock and unlock all doors but the drivers door, I have to open it manually with the key, It is the same way using the drivers side lock and unlock buttons on the inside of the car. any suggestions on what may be the problem?

I would search for "actuator" threads, mine is bad, but I don't want to part with $100 for a new one from Ford right now There has been a recent thread on re-building one though.

Can you hear the motor moving? I had the same problem. It ended up being a rivet that broke off from the door holding the motor in place.

also, there can be a problem with the mess of wires running into the door, a new actuator didn't fix mine, but some electrical tape did..lol
