Hello All
Gene here in little town America
(very little access to big city toys)

Looking to turn my laptop into obd II reader, what software do I need? Also, where can I get a 'pre-made' USB TO OBD II connector? Is it possible to swap out the PCM to one that is tunable using my laptop? If so, what kind of bucks are we talking about.

You need a ELM327 a quick google search will turn up several. It plugs into your OBD2 port and then into your usb port, Will come with a couple real-time reading proggrams, I ran a in car computer with a touch screen in the dash in my gm and used it all the time to monitor the vehicle, if you get a code, you can clear it on the fly, in the process of making the face plates now to install it in my EX.
