so just put a new motor in my 92 explorer from a 94 explorer and did new wires, plugs, battery, oil and filter, trans fluid, water pump. and it seems to be lazy on starting. ill have to crank for a bout 5 seconds before she'll fire up. just kinda looking for a direction of the problems, "starter? battery wires? starting solinoid?"

I'd look for corroded battery/starter cables. Its pretty common on the first gen Explorers. Sometimes they are corroded under the jacket where you can't see.
