Hey. Long time lurker second time poster.

I have an 03 Sport Trac, and I plan on doing some big changes. Those changes include: leaf springs, shocks/suspension lift, mud tires, and possibly a steel bumper.

I was wondering if some of you more experienced than I, could point me in the direction of some of these objects. I was thinking about getting a Rancho Quicklift, are they worth the price?

I have no idea where to get new leaf springs though, as the Rancho's are not compatible with Sport Tracs.

Mind you, I have a two wheel drive. I'm not into climbing, or straight up bogging; but I do want some nice cleeted, or bugged tires. I was thinking big and wide, like Gumbos. Any suggestions?

Side note, would wheel spacers be a dumb idea? I just hate how top heavy this thing is.

Thank you, and sorry if I'm screaming noob right now.

If you think it's top heavy now just wait until you lift it. Sure it looks good but raising the center of gravity will have negative effects on stability. Wheel spacers may have a minuscule positive effect but it surely won't overcome the lift.

Deaver Springs and/or Dixon Brothers who sell Deaver Springs could hook you up.
Also I'm pretty sure that Superlift will sell you the rear springs by themselves.
Lift spindles for a Ranger Edge 4x2 will work if you also swap to the Ranger brake rotors.

some 12.5" wide tires will help overcome the lift somewhat. After I did my tt/shackle lift and had the stock tires the trip felt tippy. After installing 275/75 (11" wide) it felt like the stock ride again or close to it. I plan on adding a body lift and getting 33x12.5" MT tires but what I'm saving for now is a winch cause I really need it.

Yea man I was thinking about 33 M/T Bajas as well.

Thanks for the help everybody. Once I get it done, I'll put some pictures up.
