Leaf & Coil springs here...

Noticed some guy's looking for leaf springs, just an FYI . I have a '91 Navajo & had custom leafs made 1" over stock for only $270 delivered to my door. The company said they will go 1" to 2" over stock for the same price. The site doesn't list leafs, just call to get a quote. http://www.espo.com/ (espo springs & things)

Im normally not one to rag on people, but why would someone spend $300 on 1" lift leafs? You could of done shackles/aal, spacers and gotten yourself some other goodies for that price. However, it does look good.

errr thanks I guess. I bought new leafs because I needed new leafs not because I wanted a lift. With a 15yr old truck & 15 yr. old leaf springs it made sense (to me anyway) to get brand new parts instead of throwing shackles or add a leafs over old worn out, rusty leafs with 300,000 miles worth of wear & tear on them. If money isn't an option then new to me makes more sense than beefing up old parts with shackles or kits.

I guess I can justify that, hey, whatever works for you.

Hey, I like the woodgrain interior, is that a vinyl kit?

I went with the simulated burl wood, they have real wood as well but I was concerned about cleaning products & flexibility. Check em out at: http://www.sherwooddashes.com/ It took me maybe 20-30mins to install everything. Just a word of caution: they tell you to use rubbing alcohol on your dash prior to installing the part that goes there, be very careful not to use the alcohol outside the exact sized part area, it will take off some original dash color & leave a dull spot.

now while i'm way too cheap to buy leaf springs new... aal's stiffen up the ride. i don't mind but alot of people do. big long shackles are kinda ugly imo. i'd rather have aal's. and i've seen much more expensive leaf springs... and if u have the money y not. u keep the factory look(no long shackles hanging) and the ride stays the same. so for those reasons i could see doing that. though i'd have gone for the 2" lift spring over the 1" now u could've achieved the same thing for less. but if i could afford the best i'd have the best. (as far as my truck goes atleast)

Springs wear out, when they do replace them is a good idea. Going 1-2" over stock can really improve the trucks stance.
I would rather get two new leafs for UNder $300 then waste my time installing an add a leaf
