FYI, my wheels are 3rd generation explorer wheels so the back spacing is different then a 1st gen sport trac and 2nd gen explorer wheels. My 3rd gen wheels with a 2" spacer stick out just a hair past the rear fenders and a little bit more on the front fenders.
If my memory serves me correct, the 3rd gen has a 24mm offset, and 1st gen ST/2nd gen EX has a 44mm offset. So they have a 20mm difference or .787" (~3/4"). So my 2" spacer on a 3rd gen wheel is approx same as a 1.25" spacer with 1st gen ST wheels.
I am also running hubsentric spacers, these center the wheel on the center of the hub of ther wheel so they run true. The cheaper spacers uses the lug nuts for centering.
