ugggh

This has to be the most asked question on this whole website...apparantly you didnt try searching hard enough but ill help you anyways. I have a 96 explorer 4x4 and yes the pa853 body lift does work. The only thing youll have to do is fabricate your own bumper brackets for the ones in the kit will not work. There is a template somewhere here on the forums which you need to use cuz it has the EXACT measurements, i used it myself. After installed the kit i had some transmission problems cuz it stretched some wiring from my tranny so becareful cuz it cost me some major bux....

anyone know where to get warrior shackles from that will ship to canada?

anyone know where to get warrior shackles from that will ship to canada?

I got mine for $118 at 4x4 tec on 118 ave and 142 st I think

the PA Body Lift you want is for your year Explorer for the Ranger, since you have a '96, you want a BL for a 96 Ranger, like before, part #853. There are some templates/blueprints on here some where for bumper brackets, it will make things real easy then tryin to come up with a design

yesssss

wow way to confuse a guy..

The steering shafts are different on '98 & up Explorer/Rangers.

The problem is a lot of people do not know this. Plus the fact that the PA part numbers are so close makes it darn confusing.

I think there should be a sticky in both the modified 95-01 & the lift shocks suspension forums.

no i am really not anymore, its just i was told 853 then look up everyone is changing between 853 and 883.. thats all that is confusing.. but thanks all for the help i will be getting the kit here in about 2 weeks or so.. I know there is the thread on installing one already but it is for i believe a 98 or 99.. are there any major differences in my kit i should know about?

The body mounts are exactly the same from 1995-2001. It's just the steering shaft coupler that is different.

From what I've read the design on the 1995-1997 shaft's are better than the 1998-2001.

Here are the bracket's....
