Ok I have years of off road experience but this is my first Explorer. Looking to lift it soon but I am having a tuff time finding a lift kit for it. All of the ones I have seen stop at 94. If you know of one please let me know. I am not going start on the Mods until I get a lift in. Some one recommended cranking up the torsion bars and adding a leaf in the rear for about a 2-3 inch lift. And if you know of any other good mods let me know. This vehicle is just waiting to be modified.

4" Superlift do a search

Ok thanks found it that is a little more than i wanted to spend right now so I think I will go with a TT/Warrior shakles then a 3" BL should give me what I am looking for right now and should fit 33's with maybe a little trimming. Now on the BL I heard they only make it for the Rangers, now what is the diffrence and do i have to disconnect my air bags?

the body lift for 95+ Explorers has been discussed a LOT.
PA 853 I think it was.. there was another kit you could use.. but you basically have to "mix and match" (in a sense) parts from 2 kits.

theres also the trailmaster 4in which is still up there in price but cheaper then the superlift althought i have noticed that not too many people bring it up when 95+ lifts come into play

3" body lift

i have been lookin for a 3" body lift for my '98 for a long time and i can't find it anywhere and i have been told that i could use a PA kit for a Ranger and make a few adjustments at the rear bumper brackets but i have yet to find out what those adjustments are, if you have help i need it!

try here

There is heaps of info on 3 inch body lifts on this site. Here is my Xplorer and it has a lot of links thru the article and a link to 250 + pictures ( Kodak Site ) of the lift including the bumper brackets. Except mine is Right Hand Drive
