I dont ever remember of anyone telling about replaceing the bulb or if the whole keypad has to be replaced. Much talk about lights being out but nothing about repairs.
Keypad is accessable after removing inside door panel, that much I know.
Good luck and let us know if you find something.

The keypad is supposed to light up?!?!?! wow, mine doesnt :( go figure

The whole keypad has to be replaced.

Checkout have you done this replacement?
I know that Ford will tell you that some bulbs are not replaceable (cruise buttons, fog lgt swtch) when in fact you can replace the bulbs.
I've just never read of anyone doing it to the door keypad.

No, Ford told me that the whole thing needed to be replaced, said the bulb was soldered in. So I just left mine alone.
