yesterday, while trying to get unstuck from the foot and a half of snow we got sunday night, i noticed that when i go in reverse and spin my tires, both rear wheels spin. however, when i try going in drive, only the rear right wheel spins. i thought both were supposed to spin in drive and reverse because of the limited slip diff, but im no expert on this. if someone could give me an explanation, id appreciate it.

they are but after 165k there isn't much limited slip left in it.

most likely the clutches are worn out and in reverse the traction differences between the two wheel was probrally very small where when you tried to go forward it was greater, overpowering the worn clutchs
