Does anyone know how to keep the little gas pedal off the floorboards. I only have like maybe 2inches or so of movement, and i dont like it. I pull it up with my hand and i get like 4inches, so idk. Is there something i cant tighten up under the dash?? Ford shoulda never put such a lil gas pedal in there, i dont think they thought of people with size 13s when they did so!:D It just feels like i got "slack" in it, and there should be some more travel than i have.

thismay be tricky for you but you need to get under there and take a look at the top of the pedal.......there is a cable (two if its an auto) that runs from the throttle body to the pedal itself, then there is a spacer and a spring, sounds to me like something is wrong with the connection up there.........does the truck drive okay????

Moving the pedal out or getting a larger pedal in there is not gonna happen, the pedals pivot on an aluminum bracket that also holds the steering wheel column, modifications to this would be a HUGE job.

However you can get bolt on pedal covers that will give you a much larger footprint on the pedal face without disrupting the pedal travel.......

The "throttle cable mod" will solve all your problems.

so its pretty easy to put a bigger pad on there? i got a size 16 shoe and when i wear my timberlands i cant even feel the gas pedal when i hit it:)

Size 16!!!! Holy cow man!!!!!!!!

Yes they sell cheapo ones (not that great) all the way up to nice billet metal ones, they simply bolt on over the existing plastic pedal.......

You can get the cheapos at any parts store in the ricer department.......I had some decent metal ones on my pedals but found them to be slippery, so I removed them and just replaced the rubber pads.....

It is people like you guys that are the reasoning behind all the new cars coming with adjustable pedals, as well as seats........
