'99 limited
I took a '99 limited for a drive today, and it looks to be in very good shape
It has a 5.0 with 88k on it with awd
Are there any know issues, or anything I should be looking for?
thanks in advance
Tom

That's the most loaded version. You might have the PCM checked for codes. Do test the ABS. Do all of the steering wheel controls work, the memory seat? Does it have side air bags, or the rear air leveling suspension(rear air shocks)?

Look hard for corrosion, or rust. Look at the bottom edge of the rear hatch, and all doors. Look under it at the bottom surfaces of the body. Depending on how long you plan to keep it, some rust is acceptable, but some amount is not.

The V8 is the most reliable in 99, and the many options are nice, but they can be expensive to have the dealer fix. Just make sure everything that is there works, good luck.

I bought mine with 70K and listened for any noises while moving or turning that would come from the driveline (differentials, transfer case, c.v. joints). The dealership let me go on a test drive by myself and I was gone for 30 minutes checking to see if everything worked. Also as mentioned, check the suspension front and back.
When buying a vehicle, I have a habit of checking all the fluids before starting the engine just to see what everything looks like.

Get a warranty if it's within your budget. I got a 3yr/36,000 mi. service contract since I got a super great deal on mine. I wanted a limited and drove 92 miles to Chicago to get it. They are hard to find, especially a good one.
