Hey all,
I know this is kind of out of the ordinary, but is it possible to drop a 4x4 trac at all without totally messing the suspension up? Like premature wear on all of the suspension components. Thanks!

why would you want to do that? that would be like putting a lift kit on a mustang.

Because everyone doesn't off-road and uses 4x4 for necessities. ;)

That applies to some that also have wives that are 4'11" tall and have removed their running boards...... and like the handling of a lowered vehicle more than the sway of a lifted one........ and just like to be "different" ....... and, well you get the idea.

Oh yeah, and the SPORT TRAC MODERATOR has a LOWERED 4x4 !!:D:D

haha that is an awesome mustang...but yeah ncranchero hit the nail on the head. I use my 4x4 to get me through the winters. I have had a lifted bronco before and it was fun, but for a daily driver, I don't want to go with a lift and big meaty (noisey) tires. The wife would string me up if I lifted it, also with a 3 year old and a 1 year old, lower is more than welcome when it comes to the car seats :P

i guess those are pretty good reasons, but i live in NOR-CAL and when i was looking for a ST for sale, i couldnt find one with 4x4 that didnt have a million miles on it, and went 4x2 in the end. there were only two ST's for sale within 75 miles of where i live at the time (last march) and they were both 4x2. i made the decision to go with the 4x2 since it was CPO, had under 60k miles and knowing that i was going to have to commute in it as well. im lovin my ST, but everytime i see a 4x4 ST i do regret not holding out for a 4x4 a little, so i guess im just a little jealous. btw, my girlfriend is also 4'11'', and she wont let me take off the runningboards!

LOL ! I took the running boards off of my 4x4 F150 SuperCab .......... had to put them back on. You know what I mean!
