What were your torque spec numbers for the bearing nuts?

30ftlb first and then 90 degrees open and 15ftlb. That was adjusting nut

Outer nut was just 150ftlb.

Now o do it just about feeling and how the wheel spins. I compare to old side where was old nut still on.

That last number should be 15 INCH pounds, not FOOT pounds. Basically it is finger tight at that point.

Yes, what ^^Maniak says. That's the problem.

Okay thanks! I was thinking something about that but my sense told me tighten little bit more.

I must loose that. Can i tigh second ring so tight 150ftlb or is it too tight too?

Now i try to drive. In 4x4 nothing happens, low range nothing happens (surpise) but if i turn manual hubs to lock position and then 4x4 the 4x4 will work with locked front. It wont bang anymore thanks for that very much!

What can i do about that?

Yes, you should loosen those inner nuts soon. The outers get 150, but some people go higher, especially if they have larger tires.

Yes, when your new hubs are unlocked, you won't have 4x4, even if you shift into 4x4. Sounds like it's all working correctly. Happy to hear the banging is now gone!

Also Karpov, if you are able to post a photo here, I would very much like to see what you, your vehicle, and Finland look like!

I figured the hubs would fix your bang, sure did mine! We had the same exact issue. Mine whines a little when in 4x4 but mostly on dryer pavement, the whine seems to disappear when on a slick surface, could be cause my rear tires are wore more than the front also. Glad to hear your bang is gone, it was real annoying for me and I am sure it was for you also.

Don't know what I did wrong there, anyway I knew the new lockouts would fix your bang as it sounded like what my truck did to a tee! I know they fixed my issue now all I get is a little whine when on dryer pavement I am guessing that has to do with the rear tires being more wore down than the front tires. Glad to hear they worked for you also! Thank you also RangerX for helping us!

Nice words! :D

Now i but adjust ring in finger tight and second more tighter but still isnt that smooth than original but no can do.

Can i but locks on and drive 2wd normally and if i need 4x4 just stop and bush button and i have 4x4? Or does that harm or do more fuel consumption?

I but couple pics here soon!

That's how I remember Finland, cold and dark....

Don't leave the axle locked all the time. Too much gas and wear.

Okay!

Heh not all the time. But when its winter, its meaning to be a cold and dark.

Sun was going down when i take pictures about 3 p.m

I know. My problem was that I always sent to Helsinki in mid winter. It is one of the many places I visited were they told me "hey, you just have to come back in summer".

I spent some nice there, though, and met very nice people. Just too much vodka for a beer-drinkers taste. ;)

I don't quite understand this. Are you saying you think they are not tightened correctly?

Nice pictures! It looks like your tires are heavily siped. In case it doesn't translate, siping is little cuts on the tires.

Heh true! I like lights beers like budweiser and miller so if you like them there are many beers like that.

If you come lapland there are polar night just ended. When its on about 2-3months there is no sun at all but summer its conversely, sun shines 2-3months all night long :D

I tried to say that first nut is now in fingertight. I tried fingertight that it wont spin and that loose that it spins. Off course i placed that ring of holes there so nut wont spin.

Änd second nut is now pretty tight but not 150ftlb because wheel didnt spin smooth then, its very stiff.

Even if i tight fingers first adjusting nut, it will come too stiff for good wheel spin. And i dont mean that wheel's have to spin like bicycle's wheel but i think its now just in line about wheel bearing durability. I think still that tighnes what i have now isnt good for bearings at long distance but if i loose even little bit more nuts its too loose.

Yeah tires are studded tires (if thats the right term). Have you those on u.s?

Ive watched Alaska state troopers on fox (you can watch it free on tv in even Finland :D) and they have only m+s tires there?

Hey, you don't want to offend a German by offering him Budweiser or Miller! :bdrunk:

;)

U from Germany? Then you can just go Lidl and taste their "good" beers :D

How pays gallon fuel in us now? There is 95oct 2,3$ per litre.

Hopefully in Russia where i refuel my cars is 0,87$ litre 92/95 oct..

I'm living in a US Territory in the middle of the Pacific. Fuel is $5.05/gal. (87 oct.) here. 91 oct. is $5.60 or so. No chance to just cross the border for cheaper gas....
