Hey Guys
After about an hour of driving, mostly highway, a loud whirring noise is emitted from the car. It usually goes for about 6 seconds or less and the car is usually in cruise control going about 60. I just had the transfer case replaced november 2008 because the previous owner thought it would be ok to drive the car in the highway with the 4 wheel low on. Just had the oil changed at jiffy lube and they did the air filter as well. A couple of weeks ago i was backing up on an incline facing down and was going forward a little bit and put it into reverse and a loud noise, but not really the same occurred.
Its a 1997 with about 180k miles.
