I took all the intake plumbing off right up to the throttle body and I'm getting a whirring (if that's a word) noise from the hole that goes into the IAC valve. I diag'd the valve and it passes all the tests. What gives? I don't want to spent $ to replace a part that's not bad. It's almost as if somewhere in the runner to the valve it's worn to the point where it's able to whistle like that at idle (and only at idle). It's almost like blowing into an empty bottle, but much louder. Is there anything I can do to fix this without buying a new IACV? It operates fine, just that intermittent noise is driving me nuts! Although, I've already told another questioning motorist that it was my super charger, and he believed me... until I'm sure he saw me leave the light at a snails pace.
Thanks for the help!
