I am having a problem with the passenger side low beam ( only ) on my headlights.

This morning, thinking it was a bad bulb ( Silver Star 9007 ), I went out and purchased a replacement bulb, installed it and low and behold, the same problem still exists.

To troubleshoot, I first checked all connections and found no problems. Since I use a HD wire harness ( from http://www.suvlights.com/ ), I swapped the relays ( one is for high beam and one for the low ), not believing this was the problem since one low beam still worked; the swap made no difference. I rechecked all of the above and found nothing amiss.

I am wide open for suggestions to resolve this problem.

HELP ……….

UPDATE: I checked the power at the socket and found 12 v on both low beam and high beam side. The bulb ( and the bulb works fine in the drivers side socket on both low and high beam ) will not illuminate on low beam.

There must be a problem with the socket contacts. I ordered a replacement socket from SUV Lights.com today.

Your thoughts .....

is the grounding correct? My passenger side silverstar is definently not as bright as my driverside....i got in an accident on that side and it might be an improper grounding, that is what the guy @ advanced auto said

The grounds are fine, thanks for the input though.

PROBLEM SOLVED

It turned out to be a bad contact connection in the socket. In the phtograph, the 3 silver contacts are all visible (now ). The silver contact to the left ( the low beam contact ) was pushed down into the socket not allowing the bulb to make the connection but allowing the probe on my multimeter to make contact; I simply put it back in the proper position ( as shown in the photograph ).
