lowered?

is it true that my X is lowered by the factory. when i look under the leaf springs i see about 6 metal plates. which in effect, looks like to me, that it is lowering my x about 2 inches or. it looks all stock under it so i dont know.

Nope

Those little plates have nuthin' to do w/ lowering the X , they raise or lower the shock , If you raise the X you would want to remove them accordingly to how much lift you install , in order to keep your travel the same .

so if use the shackle, TT to 1.25",how many plates should i take out? also where did you get the ranger skid plates?

Use your judgement .

I've removed all but the last two and plan on leaving them in . The ranger skid plate is factory , from a 00" but had to be modified (slightly) ..... I'll post a pic of it in "Before & After" .... Rand
