A little OT, but just to clarify, don't you have the SOHC Fantasymon? You said in an earlier post that you had the OHV, but I was under the impression that the 97+ all used the SOHC. I'm new to the whole explorer scene, so excuse me if I'm incorrect here.

Until a couple days ago, I always thought it got better mpg than the sohc since it was less powerful. My dad had an 01 SOHC Explorer Sport and the mpg on that thing was terrible. He only kept it for a year or 2 because it was so bad.

Now back to my thread :.....

How much am I looking at for both pulleys and how hard is the installation?

I've been reading and searching threads about "throttle" upgrades and have a question....

Is a throttle upgrade the same thing as the C&L MAF Meter? In 2005 Aldive made this thread regarding a throttle upgrade he did: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139454&highlight=mustang

Is this and upgrade in addition to the 73mm C&L Meter or are they both the same thing?

The C & L MAF housing has nothing to do with a throttle body. They are two distinct items.

Well do at least compliment each other?

Like does having the C&L plus the MAC Intake make the throttle mod work better?

Thanks...I did some searching on here and looks like I found the correct one for the 2000 OHV.

Do you know how big the stock throttle body is on the OHV by chance?

So will this throttle body essentially connect to the MAC intake on the opposite end of the C&L Meter?

So far this week I have bought:
1) New OEM Stock MAF (Mine is 7 years old and had never been cleaned)
2) 73 MM C&L MAF Meter
3) 66 MM BBK throttle body

I already have a KKM installed.

I am also wanting the MAC intake because of the larger piping between the MAF and the throttle body.

So then I got to thinking...why should I pay $175 for the MAC? Can't I just buy the tube somewhere since I will have a KKM and a C&L meter?

If this makes since, where should I look for the larger pipe and how big should it be?
