MAF connector

I was having some hesitation and sputtering. Decided to clean the maf. Upon removal I noticed a) it was clean BUT b)the red wire (I think 12v source) was frayed where it goes into the weather pack connector. Has any one ever had to fix some thing like this? I'm trying to get what's left of the wire out of the connector so I can shove the remaining wire into it. I can't get that darned connector appart, or find any little tabs to push to release the wire.

I ran into a similar prob, long story short, if you post a pic I will see if I have a matching pigtail you can splice in. I bought one, the guy sent all 5 styles to make sure I got right one, and I used a mustang style to fit my aftermarket maf. The rest are just laying around.

Thanx much. I temporarily fixed it by shoving a piece of solid core wire into the hole, and spicing that w/ my existing wire. It's sketchy at best. I'll snap a pic and get it to ya when the lite is better. Sorry I didn't catch this till now! But thanx again. It's a 4 wire set up, but the connector has spots for 6. The outside 2 are not used.
