MAF, Injectors, my head is spinning!!!

Can I put 24lb or 30lb injectors in my truck without replacing the MAF if I get a tune?

I want the bigger injectors so I don't need the FMU thingy, just injectors and a 255lph fuel pump.

If I put the larger injectors in, I assume I'll run rich? I can still drive to the shop, right?

you are supercharging right? if so I'd go with 36 # injectors
The car won't run well at all until recalibrated, but you might limp it a mile or two.
 






So, it's starting to make sense.

If you don't live at (or close to) the tuner, or the work is done in the shop, you may get by. Otherwise it's probably best to grab a MAF calibrated to the injectors...

Why 36's? I read many articles out there showing 30lb units good past 500rwhp on V8's and 24's good to 450rwhp or so. It sounds like even with forced induction 30's are about as big as I'd want/need to go. Can you explain further?

The reason I'd choose the 36 lb is to be sure you get no pre detonation, and with the maf calibrated for them the setup will support later mods and more hp. My engine setup requires 30 lb injectors naturally aspirated. Since you are buying injectors now, later mods will be less expensive. For instance, lets say you decide later to put a more aggressive camshaft in, well now you are looking at injectors, maf, and cam kit. Kind of expensive. Spend the same money now and be ready. just my .02
