maf sensor

so if i was to just get the bbk tb would i still see some increase in air flow/performace?

Some yes.it wont be like snapping your head back or melting tires off tho.the 4.0 just is not a race motor unless you drop thousands into it.

yea ive slowly came to realize that hah. if only i had that kind of money. being a college student with two part times jobs dont help at all. n living where gas prices are so high my checks go to gas. but i gota a like 2 grand saved up but i gotta get a new tranny before any pricey mods.
will the a4ld transmission be the only tranny that will fit on the first gens?

Easy answer is yes, but have you considered picking up a cheap parts truck with a good standard shift drivetrain and doing a swap to the 5 speed?

Merry Christmas BTW

^-- what he said, I bought mine as a factory 5 speed.... I would do it again in a heartbeat...

And like JD said, you won't find any neck snapping gains out of this engine. I have a 5.0 MAF housing using the 4.0 sensor, and a custom made air intake.

I am unsure if it's contributed to anything or not, it does run really well at half throttle in the cold. I'm not getting any CEL if it's running lean or not, so I really don't know if what I did was a help or if it's hindering anything.

well i was thinking of doing a engine swap but what engine would be best for the explorer
