Maintanence, upgrades etc...

hey guys,

i just got my explorer last summer and am quite happy with it. i checked and i do have the latest pcm upgrade, i replaced the rear wheel bearing last summer. i would like to know if i should change the tranny fluid or flush it. i have 110,000 miles on it and have no clue if it has ever been done before. i would also like to make sure i have enough power to tow a 21 foot boat with this. do you guys have any recommendations on getting more power or making it run better? thanks a ton

It would be a good idea to drop the pan to replace the transmission filter and fluid, especially if you will be towing. Also consider doing your differential fluid.

For bolt-on gains, the typical intake/exhaust/pulleys/tune are the best start. You do not mention if you have the 4.0L or the 4.6L; here is a write-up on pulleys for the 4.6L:
