major Headlight Issues

When I bought my 2002 explorer my headlights would not go on bright, the beam symbol on the dash dont even light up. Then last night my dim lights stopped working as well. It has the auto lights and manual and I've tried them both , nothing happens. fuzes seem to be fine.

What causes both of my dim lights to stop working at once , and the bright ones to stop before.

Headlight switch would control both. My bet would be on some relay. I haven't look at the placement of the relays in a long time but most are the same. You should find them under the hood. See if any say anything about lighting and swap them out with anoth to see the result.

Just out of curiosity with no lights on can you flash your high beams?
