2002 ford explorer sport
Hi I'm Michael. I have a 2002 explorer sport trac I was driving down the the road and a bare wire off the mass airflow sensor (the red one) grounded on the alternator. The theft light came on flashing . it died, it started right back died again. After getting it home I have tried various things. now I have the truck where it turns over but the theft light flashes while turning over I have fuel air but no spark. Help

have you checked all of your fuses?
That red wire is power distribution from the engines computer

Flashing theft light means it is not happy with the security key. Try disconnecting the battery for a bit, check all your fuses in the under hood power junction box (PJB) and the interior fuse panel.
Hopefully it blew a fuse!!

then re connect the battery and see if the flashing theft light does not stop...when cranking the starter the theft light should GO OUT, flashing = it will never start because the PATS security system is not happy with your chip key
