Help, a coworker just mistakingly poured power steering fluid into her radiator. What is the best way to remedy this?

If your explorer hasn't been run yet, just drain it and flush it out, if it has been run, take one of the hoses off that goes to your heater core and take the plug out of your radiator, and then run your explorer with the heater core hose disconnected, the heater on, and a garden hose keeping your radiator full while the car is running. it is the best way of flushing your system.

How much fluid was it?? If it was just a bit, I wouldn't worry about it.

I would flush and fill the system, its not hard.
Dispose of the old fluid propely and replace with new.
Good time to replace the thermostat too if its been a while.

Good excuse to flush the system, should do it every year anyways :)

Well his coworkers thermostat should be fine since it since its newly lubricated ;)

Well, maybe she didn't. It is more likely that she poured it into the radiator overfill tank and the coolant in the engine is still pristene. Oil floats and the radiator refills from the bottom of this tank. Many of these tanks unbolt easily or you can just remove the tube on the bottom and let it drain out. Wouldn't worry about a little residue. Knew a taxi mechanic that always shot a little oil in. He said it lubed the water pump. Much more than that would cause a gummy mess.
