I've heard you can drill holes in the air-box to let more air flow into it. Could you do this, then have a hose running from the newly cut hole in air-box, to behind the grill with a funnel type attachment to the end of it?

Anyone have any other mods for the air-box executable with low experience, and $20?

well with the air box the only two things i can say is drilling holes in the air box will give the same amount of air as before. or you can go with a high flow intake like k&n or a snorkel the snorkel will pull in cold air from outside engine compartment. the k&n and other intakes like that say cold air but the stock intake is actually colder than the aftermarkets. i built my snorkel for around $80 but i did spend $4 per inch for a hose but you can build it cheaper

I gots the K&N drop in filter, I got nothin but good words for it.

however, the only complaint I can think of is needing to oil it after you clean it. other than that, this product is sweet!

Ok and I read alot on the swiss cheese and it sounds like a bad idea living in central texas. I want to run a hose to the airbox from behind the grill.

If I just attach a vacuum hose with a funnel on the end of it to the air-box (next to the silenced one) and ran it to behind the grill would I get good gains? Also how would I fasten the hose behind the grill?

Whats going to happen when it rains or you hit a big puddle? A hydrolocked engine is never a good thing.
