Mood light kit w/ MFT

Still waiting on my EX to be delivered, but I have a question about the interior mood light that ties into MFT. The dealer told me that this is installed at the dealership which tells me that its something I might be able to do myself. If I can save the $150 in labor he quoted me to do it, I would like to.

Does this sound right? If so, where can I buy the kit and does it come with instructions?

Has anyone done this?

Did anyone purchase their EX with the mood lighting installed? Is it worth it?

Mine came installed from the factory, but I have a Limited, where its standard. Do I like it? Sure, it adds a nice touch, but if I didn't have it, I doubt I'd pay extra for it. But that's just me.

The lighting that is installed by the dealer is not the same as the one that comes from the factory. The dealer installed option does not integrate w/ MFT, nor does it change the lights in the doors and dash, it is only the footwells and cup holders. It is controlled from a separately installed switch.

If you ordered the ambient lighting and they are telling you that you are getting the dealer installed version, you likely won't be happy with it.
