Ok, so I only have one effectively useful door; what I mean is that one door can open from Both sides (you know how regular doors tend to work) but all the rest are messed up. The front passenger door won't open from outside, the rear passenger door won't open from either side, the rear driver's side door only opens from the outside and the ONE door that works on both sides, doesn't lock (which is the front driver's side door).

I took off the door panels and took a look inside, can't see a thing in there, even with the flashlight. I removed the latching assembly only to find out that I have no tool or the super small hands required to detach all of the wiring harnesses and random lock and handle "pull bars" that lead into the lock. Not to mention I can't even get access to the outside handle at all because no matter where I seem to put the window it blocks the handle (I guess that means I have to somehow take out the glass?)

BLARG! I hate these Explorer doors; I would rather rebuild a tranny or t-case then do this because at least I can see what I am doing and there are no crazy plastic clips that break the moment you touch them, in which case in the small town I live in I'd be SOL for probably two weeks because I have no good place to get parts, everything has to be ordered and shipped.

Does anybody have a "walkthrough" on door handle/lock replacement/repair? Hopefully a slim jim can get this other door open as I have no idea how to get into it without being able to open it from either side.

try taking out the speaker, that will open up a hole into the inside of the door (between the metal) and then you might be able to fix it.

Also get yourself a clip tool (kindof like a angled screwdriver with a "c" shaped tip) to pop off those plastic clips.
