Hey guys, I hired my uncle to put a motor in my 95 ford explorer with auto trans, 4x4, OHV. The motor turned over by hand on an engine stand but now that the motor is bolted to the bell housing in the vehicle it won't turn over by hand. Is the torque converter bound up? Is something terribly wrong? The explorer has been out of commission for a month now and with all of the snow I really need to get it running this weekend, thanks guys

Good guess is that the torque converter was not properly seated. There is a three step alignment between the converter and the input shaft/pump/etc. Completely seated the front of the converter is about 3/4" inside the face edge of the bell housing. Unbolt the transmission from the engine block and separate a half inch and see if that frees the crankshaft.

Alright, I was hoping to hear that. Thanks man
