mountaineer is going under the knife

any one have an opinion or a anything about the wheels haha

Just remember this is only my opinion, but they look too "blingy" for off roading unless you don't go where your gunna risk rashing them :). I'm sure it'd look good though I can't wait to see this beast with the rims and 35's on it. :)

i don't get all butt hurt over peoples opinions so say what you wanna say, everyone has their own tastes and styles. thanks for any input!
its my daily driver but i'm also buying 17 with 35s for the winter. i know what you mean about them being flashy, i was looking for black wheels but i found these brand new for a steal so i grabbed them.

basically i'm looking at this for a show cruiser by the time its done. i bought a little offroad toy that i will post pics of when i get home.

tires are getting mounted on the 20s on the 15th. when i get home the lift goes on then the 20s/35s plus all the little things i bought. after that pics will be posted maybe i'll take apic after every new part haha

Good to hear!!! Looking forward to the pics and hope you get a lot done!!! If you want, send the KB 2.1 over to me and I will break it in for you and make sure it works before you mount it onto your new motor? No sense in it being a paper weight:D

the kb might be up for sale but idk yet. i kinda wanna do a remote mount turbo setup

those rims wrapped in MUD GRAPPLERS are gonna look sick !!!!!!!...

i am also glad to read that there will be a back up set of 17's for winter and other offroad use etc. etc.

yeah i'll be using the mountaineer for some light/medium offroading till the h1 is road worthy

Since you are lifted with larger tires, I think you will be happier with the KB because of the lowend trq it will give you. The blower can make more than enough power to break your drivetrain as well.

If I wasn't looking to get a house at the end of the month or pay off the ex, you would have a check on the way for that blower! Hmmm, want to trade my lifted ranger I showed ya for that KB?

i'm seeing good torque numbers down low with the sts setup tho. i emailed sts about what the recommend just because i have played with many more turboo setups then superchargers. i'm figuring with a goal of 400-450 at the wheels i could run a smaller turbo and hit my hp/tq goals at a lower rpm.

i agree the KB will give me the torque that i want but it will also hurt my gas milage more. thats the last thing i need, i was at like 13 mpg when i left i can't wait to see what it will be like with the 35s. umm 10 maybe lower

house is wayyyyy more important get a house and the supercharger will come. kb for ranger haha no comment :P

GREAT NEWS!!! After looking at 40+ houses in the last 3 months, with 4 rejections, a seller accepted our offer for the house we wanted!!! FINALLY getting a garage and backyard:D I'll get some pics up later this month.

I am stuck between a turbo and supercharger myself. I have an M90 supercharger and have been looking at how to make it work. I have a pretty good idea on what to do and if it works out, it would be VERY easy for others to copy. Now that I have a house and garage, I will be spending some time figuring this out. As you already know, # for # a turbo makes more power. If you do as you say and get one small enough to easily support 400-450hp, then it should spool quick enough to get you sideway with those 35's :burnout:

Waitin to see those 35's - I got some on myself.

lets see some pics with the 35s i always liked those expeditions

325/65R18 Hankook MT's - I only got them because they were a great deal. It's a shame they dont even look that big on there. I have a 04-05 F150 3" body lift waiting to adapt to the expy soon.

yeah that looks so sick. when i traded in my m3 i had a choice between a 03 expedition 50some thousand miles black fully loaded or my mountaineer. the mountaineer was like 4 grand less with low miles so i picked up the mountaineer but the expedition was my first choice.

well if you guys are looking for tires i just found on ebay sloppytrish sells tires for cheap with free shipping i bought tires for my buddies jeep 2 days ago and they were at my door today so hit him up.

its getting closer and closer to me coming home so hopefully everything goes smooth with getting my plane. sand storms have been hitting here alot so i'm hopeing that the day i fly its clear so i can get home

well the parts list just keeps expanding my girl got me 4 more 6 inch off roading light so now i have 8 total. then she got me HID projectors for my headlights!!!! god i love her but i'm starting to think she doesn't want to see me for the 2 weeks. i'm just gonna end up moving into the garage so i can install everything

lol from some one who tried and failed...dont try that engine swap untill you are home for good!..took me just under two weeks (granted i was working 9-5 5 days a week...but still). and make sure you fill the tranny before you start it...(it drains a little when you unhook the masive cooler) mine blew all of hte shift cylenoids and it cost me just over 600 bucks to have them replaced...fun fun ^.^. might be a good time to invest in those heads + cams + stall converter + Headers -nudge nudge- i want to see what kind of power your going to throw down lol.
